PASADENA, CA, October 31, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- One Community, A Grassroots Think Tank Organization, (www.onecommunitythinktank.com) will convene a one day conference, "The Green Economy: Climate Change to Job Creation" on Saturday, October 31, 2009 at Pasadena City College, Lillian Vosloh Forum, located at 1570 Colorado Boulevard, Pasadena, CA. Admission and parking are free. The conference will commence with Continental breakfast at 8:30 a.m. There will be a panel discussion from 9 a.m. to 12 noon. From 12 noon to 1 p.m., lunch will be served. The event's attendees will have an opportunity to visit with exhibitors, network for jobs and interact with the panelists.

Congresswoman Judy Chu will give the keynote address centered on the White House Green Legislation. Southern California Edison is slated to host a Job Fair at the event.

Slated to appear as panelists are Asif Ansari, CEO of Suntrough Inc.; Joumana Barakat, Management Analyst, Workforce Investment Board; John Boesel, CEO, WestStart-CALSTART; Phyllis Currie, General Manager, Pasadena Water & Power; Marilyn Johnson, Executive Director, SCOPE; John Picard, Environmental Consultant (via video only); Dr. Josh Willis, Oceanographer & Climate Scientist and Tom Soto, Managing Partner, Craton Equity Partners.
