FMA Congresses: New Windows Aren't Needed to Conserve Energy
"This isn't your typical tradeshow. The one-on-one opportunities are greater here and you're dealing with people where it's not just one building they're worried about, they have a whole portfolio of buildings, so they have a massive concern."

MONTREAL, QC, May 09, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- "This isn't your typical tradeshow," noted Jones, "The one-on-one opportunities are greater here and you're dealing with people where it's not just one building they're worried about, they have a whole portfolio of buildings, so they have a massive concern. One building is good, ten buildings are great, for us, and for them. We get bigger jobs and they save more money."

New Windows Aren't Needed to Conserve Energy

Madico has been developing window films since 1903, helping people to maximize energy efficiency, protect their belongings and most recently, comply with regulatory codes. Madico manufactures a retrofit film for existing glass that is energy efficient, controls solar heat gain and light transmission, and no, will not make the house or building look like a limousine. It is perfectly transparent and unnoticeable to the naked eye.

In addition to cutting operating costs for residents and companies, Madico also brings windows in line with Energy Star ratings, which is already being mandated for all commercial buildings in the state of California. The films also have a variety of other purposes, such as their disaster resistant films which are used by the military and not only has the ability to conserve energy and control light transmission, but also to hold a pane of glass intact, even after experiencing a powerful impact.

"It's a lot faster, simpler and less expensive than replacing all of the windows in a building. Not to mention it saves money on energy expenses," said Ron Jones, Commercial Sales Specialist for Madico at the recent Progressive Energy and Environment Congress, "If you pull glass out of the windows, you lose heating and cooling during the process as well."

Madico was one of a number of green friendly, energy efficient companies selected to attend the Atlanta event hosted by Joe Piazza and FMA from the 20th to the 22nd of April. This was Madico's first FMA congress and though they have participated in several tradeshows and conferences in the past, they found the FMA event to be unique in comparison. "This isn't your typical tradeshow," noted Jones, "The one-on-one opportunities are greater here and you're dealing with people where it's not just one building they're worried about, they have a whole portfolio of buildings, so they have a massive concern. One building is good, ten buildings are great, for us, and for them. We get bigger jobs and they save more money."
