Mumbai to host the 6th edition of Green Building Congress
Mumbai will be hosting the 6th edition of India's flagship event on green buildings. Green Building Congress 2008 is slated to be held from 25 - 27 September 2008 at the Grand Hyatt, Mumbai.
MUMBAI, INDIA, September 24, 2008 /Global Warming News Articles/ -- Mumbai will be hosting the 6th edition of India's flagship event on green buildings. Green Building Congress 2008 is slated to be held from 25 - 27 September 2008 at the Grand Hyatt, Mumbai. This event is being organized under the aegis of Indian Green Building Council (IGBC), which is spearheading the green building movement in India.
As on date, over 320 green building projects (commercial + residential) with a total footprint 240 million sq ft have been registered with Indian Green Building Council (IGBC) and 30 green buildings have been LEED certified. In light of this, the green building movement in India is well poised to catapult resulting in further market transformation offering both tangible and intangible benefits etc.
The 6th edition of Green Building Congress will be marked by the following key activities:
International Conference on Green Buildings -(25 & 26 September 2008)
The International Conference on Green Buildings will be a platform to know & learn more on the green building concepts, materials/ equipment; sharing of international best practices by various Green Building Councils and case studies from the LEED-rated green buildings in India. The international conference is expected to witness over 1000 delegates attending the Conference and leading experts on green building will be sharing their expertise during this two-day international conference.
Exhibition on Green Building Products - (25- 27 September 2008)
The event will witness a mega exhibition on Green Building Products, technologies and services. The visitor will gain a first hand understanding of the products, equipments, services available in the market. Over 100 green building products/services will be displayed at the exhibition which is expected to attract over 10,000 business visitors.
Conference on Green Homes- (27 September 2008)
The Conference on Green Homes is exclusively designed for home makers, architects and residential developers. The recently launched IGBC-Green Homes Rating Systems will be the focal point of the conference. Case studies shall also be shared.
